CONCERT BAND

Concert Band is open to all students from grades 9-12.

Rehearsals are on Tuesday and Thursday from 7:30-8:30 am.

We play a wide variety of music - Classical, Marches, Broadway, Jazz.

BAND UNIFORM:  BLACK below the waist,  WHITE above the waist and a BAND JACKET

Calender of events for 2009 -  2010 school year.

Fall Fiesta Art Show and Concert - Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009              7:30pm

     Musicians arrive by 7:00pm

Grade 8 Day - WED.  Nov. 4th -  NO uniform - out of class at 11:00am - play for Grade 8's - done by ~ 11:45pm

Commencement - Sat. Nov. 7, 2009         YES uniform -          musicians arrive by noon - set up auditorium,  entertain guests, play Pomp+Circumstance, O Canada.............off the stage...........back on stage at end..........should finish by 3pm.

Junior Awards Assembly:  Monday, Nov. 9th - NO  uniform - as soon as you get to school/8:30am - grab your instrument and music and head for the auditorium    We play tunes and O Canada - yes, I realize most of you are getting awards....after we play, you go sit in the crowd.

Festival of Trees Performance - Thursday, Nov. 26, 2009                     we play from 12-1pm

     We will leave school at approx. 11am and arrive back

     by 1:30pm.

IF you forget your permission form at school, a note from your parents giving permission will be fine.

Include:  your name, their name, date, occassion, emergency contact name and number.

Winter Arts Night - Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009                                    7:00pm

     Musicians arrive by 6:30 pm

CHAPTERS bookstore Fundraiser - Thurs. Dec. 10, 2009                    6:00-9:00pm
